Castillo de PavonesLodge in Pavones
Tiskita Jungle Lodge, the best kept secret in Costa Rica, is an ecolodge that offers the opportunity to experience pristine tropical rainforest in its 800 acre private biological reserve. Tiskita is about as remote as one can get, located at the end of the road on the secluded southwest coast of Costa Rica. There are nine private cabins set against a lush jungle and the Pacific Ocean.
Right in front of Tiskita is a beach break. It is an excellent spot to surf for both beginners and experts, with little to no other surfers around. Punta Banco has two more beach breaks. Pavones, just seven kilometers away, is a world-renowned surf destination with one of the world’s longest left breaks. The break in Pavones is a point break. Tiskita has a new yoga deck. The deck is surrounded by rainforest and has a view of the ocean through the gaps. It doesn’t get better than this for peace of mind and tranquility.
Tiskita is located at the end of the road in the remote southwest of Costa Rica, near Panama. Tiskita faces the Golfo Dulce and the Osa Peninsula, home to Corcovado National Park. Costa Rica is well known for being one of the most biodiverse countries in the world. On top of that, the Osa Peninsula, the Golfo Dulce, and the surrounding area, form one of the “hottest hotspots” of biodiversity in the world. Tiskita started a non-profit, the Tiskita Foundation, to help protect the Golfo Dulce area. The Tiskita Foundation has supported a sea turtle restoration program, a Scarlet Macaw reintroduction project, and various community development projects.
